Heading to the SEG annual meeting in Dallas?

Waveseis’ founder, Mark Roberts, is presenting a proprietary patent pending method for performing MVA using the two-way way equation that can be run on RTM angle-gathers and is many times faster than conventional WEMVA flows.  To learn more, check out the expanded abstract or come to hear Mark’s talk at the SEG Annual Meeting in Dallas:

Presentation Date: Wednesday, October 19, 2016

Waveseis is pleased to announce a collaboration with Hornby Geophysical Services on Vertical Seismic Profile (VSP) projects.  Brian Hornby is recognized as a world expert on VSP data (and former Senior Advisor for Borehole Geophysics at BP).   This agreement will enable our customers to get benefits from Waveseis’ cutting edge seismic imaging technology as well as Brian Hornby’s expertise to maximize project value from survey design and acquisition through processing and interpretation.

Mark Roberts (Waveseis, CEO) and Brian Hornby (Hornby Geophysical Services, CEO) have previously worked together on projects such as Elastic Full Waveform Inversion of walkaway VSP data and salt flank imaging using VSP data; their work on transmission wave imaging of salt flanks using walkaway VSP data resulted in a patent owned by BP.
